These Celtic fans have been responding to a post on social media by former player Kieran Tierney.

The Scottish international left Celtic Park in the summer of 2019 for Arsenal, but he clearly still has some connection to his former side as he felt the need to comment on the recent managerial changes that have been going on at the club.

Following the resignation of Neil Lennon, the Celtic board have decided to put assistant manager John Kennedy in charge for the time being. Having been appointed to his role in February 2019, there would have been some overlapping time when he and Tierney were at the club together.

And that’s why the 23-year-old felt the need to praise him for helping him in his career via his Twitter page, which brought out some interesting responses from Celtic fans:

“Very interesting tweet. Maybe Kennedy will have more respect from the players than Lennon”

“Find it quite weird how Tierney has retweeted this but stayed away from any of the Lennon posts.”
“Well that’s enough for me to give the guy a chance”
“Uh oh, hope this isn’t KT helping lay the ground work for Kennedy being appointed full time!”
“Come home. It’s safe now”
“Come back Kieran please”

Should Celtic even think about keeping Kennedy long-term?

You do wonder if this comes across as some form of ‘endorsement’ in his career and skills, and whether or not it will hold any sway to if he gets the job permanently.
