According to a report from Football Insider, Rogic is ‘set to push for an exit’ from Parkhead this summer, after being frustrated by ‘another season in and out of the team’.
They also claimed that a source close to the SPFL giants had claimed that Neil Lennon and the Parkhead hierarchy expect the £1.58 million-rated midfielder to ‘try and find a new club’ at the end of the current campaign.
However, after this report was relayed on Facebook by Read Celtic, fans of the Bhoys flocked to have their say on the matter, with many appearing to be left devastated at the prospect of the Australia international leaving their side.
Would Celtic miss Rogic?
So, what exactly did these Celtic fans have to say in reaction to the report regarding Tom Rogic?
All in all, it would appear that the majority of these Celtic fans are not fond of the idea of their club letting Rogic go this summer, with some stating their belief that the Hoops would be mad to allow the player’s departure, however, others suggested that, while the 28-year-old is brilliant at times, the club need a player who is slightly more consistent.
Rogic has played 24 times in all competitions this term, but only 12 have been starts, although he has played from the off in each of the Bhoys’ last three league outings, via Transfermarkt.
Even despite his lack of regular game time, the Aussie midfielder has still provided the fourth-highest number of assists in the Scottish top-flight, so it’s no wonder that much of the Parkhead faithful would like to see him stay past the current campaign.
