These Celtic fans have been reacting to comments made by defender Christopher Jullien in the aftermath of Neil Lennon’s resignation from the club.

Lennon resigned yesterday following a rather poor season both on and off the pitch in which they found themselves 18 points behind the leaders in the title race and under some incredibly intense scrutiny and pressure from the supporters.

The Frenchman, is currently recovering from a knee injury that he sustained during a 3-0 win over Dundee United back in January, with the initial diagnosis being that he would be out for up to four months. The 27-year-old defender made a total of 61 appearances under Lennon, and wanted to pass on his gratitude to him via a post on social media, thanking him for giving him a chance and overseeing a period where he brought a number of trophies to the club.

Comments that some of these fans weren’t all too keen on.

“Class act”

“Top class Chris”
“Well said Chris”
“Believing in you? He didn’t trust you in a CL qualifier which caused us to get humped off Cluj”
“Come on now Chris, don’t spoil it.”
“He dropped you for the vital game against Cluj. Pity he didn’t start believing in you sooner…..”
“No he didn’t believe in you Chris!!!”

Is Jullien Celtic's best defender?

Now we just wait to see whether or not the £4.95m-rated defender will be back in time to impress the next manager.
