Fans of Glasgow Celtic have taken to Twitter to praise the performance of Hoops captain, Scott Brown, in the Bhoys’ Scottish Premiership fixture against Aberdeen.
Prior to the game against Derek McInnes’ side on Saturday, Brown had made 23 league appearances for Celtic this season, scoring one goal and providing one assist, while averaging a slightly disappointing WhoScored match rating of 6.82 – ranking him as the club’s 19th-best performer in the Scottish top flight.
However, in Saturday’s fixture against the Dons, fans of Celtic appeared to be delighted with the performance of the £900k-rated 35-year-old, with a great many taking to Twitter to heap considerable amounts of praise on the Scotland international.
Were you impressed with Brown's performance?
So, what exactly did these Celtic fans have to say in reaction to the performance of Scott Brown against Aberdeen?
“Him and Scott Brown in midfield to save the 10.”
“5 mins and then normal service. Has anyone actually put pressure on Scott Brown? Strolling around like he’s Xavi in his prime!”
“Scott Brown imperious.”
“Scott Brown has been immense today so far.”
“Decent 1st half. We look organised today. The passing and movement are a lot better. Scott Brown dictating the play – everything going through him.”

“Scott brown looking 10x better today too, all over the pitch. Always offering an option to the defence for a pass. Mental to think how much of a stranglehold Lennon’s lack of ideas and tactics have had on these players.”
“Scott Brown has been excellent today to be fair.”
All in all, it would appear as if these Celtic fans were delighted with the performance of Brown against Aberdeen, and, considering the midfielder completed 90% of his passes accurately, made three clearances, one block, one interception and one tackle over the course of the 90 minutes, culminating in a SofaScore match rating of 7.2, it is not difficult to understand why.
