Many Celtic fans have been discussing the news about Nir Bitton’s potential exit from Parkhead.

The Scottish Sun have recently reported about Bitton, saying that the defender is currently a summer transfer target for Maccabi Tel Aviv, as the Hoops could be set for an overhaul in the upcoming summer.

The report goes on to state that Celtic don’t want to let Bitton go on the cheap but Maccabi want to test their resolve by making an offer in the summer.

The report from the Scottish Sun has stated that Bitton is a popular member of the Celtic squad and he is currently well-settled in Scotland. While Hatem Abd Elhamed has had personal issues and looks close to a move to Hapoel Be’er Sheva, Bitton hasn’t had such issues and he isn’t in a hurry to leave.

Some of these Celtic fans clearly want Bitton gone from the club and one fan believes that he might not be looking to leave if the Hoops get European football next season.

The 29-year-old defender has made 20 appearances in all competitions for the Bhoys this season and all of those appearances have come at centre-back. In the Premiership, he has played 13 games and has one goal to his name (as per Transfermarkt).
