Celtic fans have been reacting to potential transfer news surrounding Norwegian winger Mohamed Elyounoussi.
The 26-year-old is currently in his second season at Celtic Park having re-joined on loan from Premier League side Southampton in the summer. The versatile winger has certainly been impressive during his time north of the border, scoring 20 goals and providing 12 assists in 53 appearances.
And according to a report from Football Insider, Celtic have their sights set on re-signing the attacker this summer, with the chance to make that move a permanent one now possibly a lot easier, with Southampton reportedly willing to cut their asking price for him from £8-10m to as little as £5m.
News which went down incredibly well with supporters on social media, who were pretty much demanding that the club make the deal permanent, although some suggested that he might work better with someone else in the dugout:
“If we can get him for 5 million i think we definitely should it’s a bargain he could be class under a new system and a new manager”
Has Elyounoussi impressed you this season?
Yes, he's done well
No, he's been average
With Celtic looking to rebuild on such a poor season and mount an effective title challenge on Rangers, they’ll need all the help that they can get, and looking down someone with his production would be a great way to start.
