Lots of Celtic supporters have been discussing a news update involving Callum McGregor that recently emerged on social media.
Football Insider has recently reported about McGregor’s situation, saying that the midfielder is now in line to become Celtic’s next captain and commit his career to the Parkhead-based side.
The report states that while McGregor has looked to depart Celtic in the past, the Bhoys blocked the sale and he is expected to replace Scott Brown as captain soon.

The report also suggests that Brendan Rodgers had wanted him at Leicester City in 2019 and 2020, but the the Hoops rejected any enquiries from the Foxes, even though Rodgers’ side were willing to pay a fee of around £20 million.

This shows his reliability and quality as a player and because of that, it isn’t a surprise that fans would be happy to see him become the captain.
