Plenty of Celtic supporters have taken to Twitter to issue their thoughts on interim boss John Kennedy after he guided them to a narrow win over Aberdeen in his first game in charge of the club.

The Bhoys got off to a winning start to life without Neil Lennon, who left his role in charge of the Scottish giants recently after a two-year spell in the dugout at Celtic Park, in what was his second spell as their manager.

Odsonne Edouard scored the only goal of the game with a deflected effort that beat Aberdeen goalkeeper Joe Lewis after just six minutes on the day.

Celtic had the better of the statistics on the day, with the hosts dominating the possession, as well as having more efforts on goal than Derek McInnes’s side.

The win means that the Bhoys remain second in the Scottish Premiership, and they are now 15 points adrift of league-leaders Rangers, with Steven Gerrard’s side set to take on Livingston on Wednesday evening.

A number of the Celtic Park faithful took to social media to issue their verdict on John Kennedy’s first game in charge of the club.

Take a look at the best of the reaction from Twitter below…

“Same, boring football. We badly need a new manager who brings in new ideas.”

“Good first win for Kennedy. Everyone moaning on here about a win just shows how entitled we are. Do you expect Kennedy to wave a magic wand and fix what Lennon ruined in one game?”

“If that was Kennedy’s audition, I saw nothing different from the Aberdeen game 10 days ago – same players, formation, subs – Lennon could’ve still been in the dugout going by how it all went.”

“Abysmal performance again, new management team needed ASAP, the people in charge are clueless.”

“Glad that Kennedy got a win first game in charge. Going to take time to put his own mark on things but a win is a win as they say.”

“Better performance no doubt but still lacking that cutting edge. Kenny impressive today.”

“It’s clear we need rid of Kennedy and Strachan, time for a full revamp.”
