Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting to news concerning a potential move for Sampdoria’s Mikkel Damsgaard.
The transfer window closed last week, but that doesn’t mean clubs have completely downed tools when it comes to the ins and outs of the club, and Spurs are clearly no different. According to a report in La Repubblica (via Sport Witness), Spurs, along with Italian side Juventus, remain ‘crazy’ about the 20-year-old, who they were interested in signing in January.
And with good reason. Having scored 15 goals and contributed 25 assists through his senior career so far at FC Nordsjaelland in his native Denmark and Sampdoria in Serie A, as well as possessing the ability to play in multiple attacking and midfield positions, you can see why clubs would be after him.
But for one reason or another, a selection of Tottenham fans on social media didn’t seem to be too enamoured with potentially bringing him on board:
“Ooh another winger? That will help plug our leaky defence.”
Should Tottenham make a move for Damsgaard?
Yes
No
At least the good thing is that the club have got a few months until the summer window to work out whether or not they still want him, so these fans might get their wish after all.
