Fans of Tottenham Hotspur have taken to Twitter to criticise the performance of Spurs winger, Lucas Moura, in the club’s Premier League fixture on Sunday.

Prior to the Burnley game, Moura had started just seven league games for Jose Mourinho’s side this season, making a further 12 appearances from the bench, scoring two goals and providing one assist over his total of 19 fixtures, as well as averaging a rather disappointing WhoScored match rating of 6.40 – ranking him as the club’s joint seventh-worst performer in the top flight.

A nice easy one to start off with, who is Tottenham's record signing?

And, after Mourinho opted to start the £22.5 million-rated 28-year-old in Saturday’s fixture against Burnley, despite the fact that the Brazilian scored Tottenham’s third goal against the Clarets, fans of Spurs appeared to be far from happy with the display of the £80k per week man, with many taking to Twitter to share their frustrations.

So, what exactly did these Tottenham Hotspur fans have to say in reaction to Lucas Moura’s performance against Burnley?

“Ok Lucas thanks for the memories, it’s time to go brother.”

@AbdulTHFC

“Lucas man.”

@thfcTuri

“I refuse to believe Lucas Moura was hailed as the next Neymar.”

@thfc_jose

“Lucas infuriates me.”

@FlynnTHFC

“Lucas runs… Lucas falls over”

@Nick90_THFC

“Not sure what Dele has to do to get ahead of Moura, the man’s shocking.”

@TheHoggy

“Lucas Moura is so terrible man. A player who doesn’t understand the concept of angles and half-spaces.”

@theboythewave

All in all, it would seem as if these Tottenham fans are not best pleased with Moura’s display, and, considering the winger did miss one big chance prior to scoring his goal, perhaps their grievances are not that surprising.
