The report by David Ornstein for The Athletic claims that both Tottenham and Liverpool are ‘studying’ Konsa over the remainder of the season, as each side ‘seek to bolster’ their options in the centre of defence in the summer market.
Indeed, the £10.8 million-rated 23-year-old has impressed over his 20 Premier League appearances for Dean Smith’s side so far this season, making an average of 0.7 tackles, 0.7 interceptions and 4.2 clearances per game, helping his side to keep nine clean sheets, as well as averaging a SofaScore match rating of 7.01.
And, after The Spurs Web relayed Ornstein’s report on Twitter, fans of the club flocked to have their say on the matter, with many appearing delighted at the prospect of their club making a move for the England U21 international.
Would Konsa be a good signing?
So, what exactly did these Tottenham Hotspur fans have to say in reaction to the report regarding Spurs’ interest in Ezri Konsa?
“I’M ON MY KNEES LEVY.”
“Do this and you’ll gain some of my respect enic please I beg of you.”
“He should be priority signing, what a baller.”
“Get him in.”
“I’ve been saying it. This is a must.”
“This is the news I want to see, but I hope they sort CB out early as they did with Hojberg. No penny pinching, start negotiations now, give us the best possible chance to have some progression next season.”
All in all, it would appear that these Spurs fans would love to see their club make a move for Konsa in the summer, and, considering how impressive the centre-back has been for high-flying Villa so far this season, it is not difficult to understand why.
