Fans of Tottenham Hotspur have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relayed a report that claims Spurs are interested in a summer swoop for LOSC Lille centre-back, Sven Botman.

According to the report by France Football, Tottenham have recently ‘entered the dance’ for the £22.5 million-rated defender, with it being rumoured that Spurs had already ‘managed to convince’ Lille and the player’s representatives of a deal, however, the report claims that this is not the case.

A nice easy one to start off with, who is Tottenham's record signing?

So far this season, the 21-year-old has been in fine form over his 25 league appearances for the Ligue 1 table toppers, making an average of one tackle, 1.7 interceptions, 2.1 clearances and winning 3.5 aerial duels per match, culminating in an average WhoScored match rating of 7.06 – ranking him as Les Dogues’ joint fifth-best player in the French top flight.

And, after Hotspur Related relayed France Football’s report on Twitter, fans of Tottenham flocked to have their say on the matter, with many appearing to be delighted at the prospect of their club making a move for Botman this summer.
