A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have flocked to a post from Dan Kilpatrick which contains a transfer update from the Evening Standard reporter.

A nice easy one to start off with, who is Tottenham's record signing?

Kilpatrick claims that Spurs are expecting a ‘quiet’ transfer deadline day and that Paulo Gazzaniga and Gedson Fernandes look to be among the only ones on the way out.

However, he does add at the end of his tweet that all of this is “as it stands“, which has given this Spurs fan some hope of something happening:

“As it stands” gives me a little hope.”

Spurs did a lot of business in the last transfer window, and they have not brought in a single player in this transfer window even as their form has declined in recent weeks.

Do you think Tottenham will sign anyone?

No, we won't get anyone

No, we won't get anyone

Yes, we might do

Yes, we might do

This post continued to draw in Spurs fans who want to see Jose Mourinho or chief scout Steve Hitchen sacked as a result, while others are simply not surprised at this update.

Could use the first line of this tweet for every January window at spurs”

@JgNabil

if mourinho and levy think the team doesn’t need anyone then idk what to say at this point…”

@christian_abiad

Well everything seems fine squad wise so why would there be any transfer action? #levyout”

@JoseRuiz_

That is how it stands and how it will finish.”

@nick_davison10

Managerial changes?”

@SPReid1979

“Utterly depressing to watch a pathetic effort last night and then to be content with it.”

@g2mccc

“Steve Hitchen should resign along with Levy”

@HazSpur92

Tottenham have now failed to win three of their last four Premier League games, and it is clear that some of these Spurs fans have had enough.

It doesn’t look like Mourinho is going to be boosted in the transfer market, so it is up to him to turn this around, though, he has clearly lost the faith of many Spurs supporters.
