Fans of Tottenham Hotspur have been reacting to a post on Twitter, in which Alasdair Gold commented on Dane Scarlett’s recent appearance for the club.

In his post, Gold shared an image of the 16-year-old leaving the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium following his cameo in the 2-0 win against West Bromwich Albion on Sunday, an appearance which marked the striker’s Premier League debut for the north London side – with the journalist adding that Scarlett is “the first 16-year-old to ever play in the competition for Spurs” as well as commenting on “what a moment” it must be for him.

Having also made his debut in the Europa League for Jose Mourinho’s side earlier this season, the future would appear to be very bright indeed for the Tottenham youngster, who has scored 13 goals and provided four assists over just 11 appearances in the U18 Premier League so far this season, as well as bagging two goals in three appearances for the U23 side.

And, in reaction to Gold’s tweet, fans of Tottenham flocked to have their say on the matter, with many appearing to hold very high hopes for the future of Scarlett.

All in all, it would appear that the vast majority of these Tottenham fans are excited about Scarlett’s future at their club, with some already dubbing the 16-year-old a legend, while others even went as far to claim that the striker has the potential to become better than Harry Kane.
