Fans of Tottenham Hotspur have taken to Twitter to praise the performance of Spurs centre-back Davinson Sanchez.

Prior to the Burnley fixture, Sanchez had found game time somewhat hard to come by under Jose Mourinho this season, with the £36 million-rated 24-year-old starting just 10 Premier League fixtures for Spurs, making one further appearance from the bench, over which the defender had averaged a rather disappointing WhoScored match rating of 6.47 – ranking him as the club’s ninth-worst performer in the top flight.

However, after Mourinho opted to start the Colombia international in Sunday’s fixture against the Clarets, fans of Tottenham appeared delighted with the display of the centre-back, with many taking to Twitter to heap a considerable amount of praise on Sanchez.

@jack_thfc_

All in all, it would seem as if these Tottenham fans were delighted with the display of Sanchez against Burnley, and, considering the £65k per week centre-back made eight clearances, blocked one shot, won 11 aerial duels and three ground duels and earned a SofaScore match rating of 7.6 for his efforts in the fixture, it is not difficult to understand why.
