A number of Spurs fans have reacted to an important update on the club’s rumoured pursuit of Marcel Sabitzer. 

Tottenham Hotspur remain the favourites to strike a deal with RB Leipzig for Sabitzer in the summer transfer window. The German club have already moved to sign his replacement, with Dominik Szoboszlai recently arriving at the club, which has seen their stance on keeping Sabitzer at the club change in recent weeks according to Sport Bild.

Spurs were credited with interest in signing Sabitzer earlier in the 2020/21 season, but a move failed to materialise for one reason or another.

Sabitzer has made 26 appearances in all competitions for RB Leipzig this term and has chipped in with five goals and five assists, as they currently sit second in the table.

Whilst Spurs have struggled for a positive run of results in recent weeks under the management of , with his side sat ninth in the top-flight standings.

Sabitzer, who is valued at €40m (£35m) by CIES Football Observatory, would clearly be a signing that many in N17 would like to see happen when the transfer window re-opens at the end of the current campaign.

How much the Leipzig captain would command remains to be seen, but as evident above, the Hotspur faithful would love to see him in a Lilywhites shirt in 2021/22.
