Tottenham Hotspur fans are not feeling confident ahead of their game with Manchester City this weekend.
Given where Spurs are in the table, they’re going to need all the help they can get if they are to pull off something special this season and finish in a European spot, and they’ve received something of a boost from their opponents.
According to a report in The Daily Mail, Manchester City are set to be without the services of Ruben Dias, Fernandinho and Rodri. This is on top of the injuries already suffered by the likes of Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Aguero. So to say that Pep Guardiola’s men will be depleted might be something of an understatement.
But despite all this, when the Spurs Twitter account tried to get fans in the spirit ahead of the game, there weren’t a lot of confident fans to be found on social media:
“Expectations have already been lowered”
Will Spurs qualify for Europe this season?
Yes
No
Although you wonder how many of them felt the same way before they beat Man City back in November, so it’s not a foregone conclusion at this point.
