Many Tottenham Hotspur fans have been discussing an update about Jose Mourinho that recently emerged on Twitter.

The Daily Mirror recently published an article about Spurs and Mourinho’s situation at the north London club. The report talked about his treatment of players, some of his favourites in the team and also how Daniel Levy views his position right now.

It stated that Mourinho’s stock with Levy still remains high and there is ‘little’ chance that the Portuguese leaves before the end of the campaign. Apart from that, the report went on to criticise Mourinho’s treatment of the likes of Dele Alli, Harry Winks and Gareth Bale.

What did Spurs fans make of this news about Mourinho?

“I have thrown in the towel on him, but waiting until the summer to pass judgement was what I was trying to do, so I suppose it’s acceptable as long as we don’t fall any further down the league table…

“I take heart by knowing it’s always summer somewhere in the world. Bye bye Jose!!!!

A nice easy one to start off with, who is Tottenham's record signing?

“So it’s not safe then — It’s only Europa or burst because he’s not getting top 4.”

While Spurs may be eighth in the Premier League currently and they’ve been knocked out of the FA Cup, Mourinho’s men are still in the League Cup final and the Europa League. More so, Spurs are only three points behind fifth-placed Chelsea right now and that isn’t a huge gap by any means (as per Transfermarkt).

So this is clearly a salvageable situation and because of that, perhaps it would make sense to keep Mourinho till the end of the season.
