Many Tottenham Hotspur fans have been discussing a video involving Davinson Sanchez that recently emerged on social media.

Spurs-related page Last Word On Spurs recently relayed a video from Sky Sports (via Football Daily) which involved Sanchez talking about playing under Jose Mourinho.

The Colombian defender said that the side can do a lot better under the manager and they are now much more comfortable playing under Mourinho’s system.

Sanchez arrived at Spurs from Ajax in the summer of 2017 for what was then a club-record £42m fee. Since then, the Colombian has made 139 appearances in all competitions for the Lilywhites and he has also scored three goals for the London-based club (as per Transfermarkt).

A nice easy one to start off with, who is Tottenham's record signing?

In the January transfer window, he was linked with a Spurs exit and it was stated that he was open to a move away from the club in January.

“I get what he is saying and I’m all for it but as far as Sanchez goes whatever way we play he can’t play it.

A lot of Spurs fans are mocking Sanchez and his performances this season and they are angry at how he has played.

Sanchez has picked up a rating of only 6.43/10 in the Premier League this season, making ten appearances in the division. As many as 16 Spurs players have picked up a higher rating than the defender and it suggests that he’s not had a great season in the Premier League (as per WhoScored).

Considering that he hasn’t been a regular under Mourinho and his low ratings, it is easy to see why Spurs fans aren’t happy with Sanchez.
