Tottenham fans have been reacting to the performance of Ben Davies during the first half of their F.A Cup game with Everton.
Spurs are currently going through a trophy drought, having not won any silverware since their victory in the 2007/08 League Cup. However, having already sealed their place in the final of the League Cup and into the last 32 of the Europa League, a win tonight would strengthen their chances of taking something away from this season.
However one player who, at least in the eyes of the supporters at home who didn’t seem to be helping matters was the Welsh defender, who didn’t have the best of opening halves. Indeed it was his indecision that nearly gifted the hosts an equaliser through Dominic Calvert-Lewin, and the supporters were quick to make sure they let their feelings be known about his display:
“Someone tell Ben Davies that he plays for Tottenham Hotspur and so he should start ACTING LIKE IT”
With Sergio Reguilon currently out on the sidelines with an injury, it certainly doesn’t appear as if Ben Davies is making the most of this opportunity to impress.
However, Davies perhaps hasn’t been the worst performer if SofaScore’s half-time ratings are anything to go by, as he’s currently ranked as the sixth worst performer for Spurs with a score of 6.5.
