Plenty of Tottenham Hotspur fans have been quick to issue their thoughts on the club’s rumoured interest in signing Norwich City defender Max Aarons according to Eurosport.

Aarons has been a regular for the Canaries this season in the Championship, with Daniel Farke’s side looking to challenge for promotion back into the Premier League at the first time of asking.

Norwich are currently sat top of the second-tier standings, after being relegated from the Premier League last season after a disappointing 2019/20 campaign in the top-flight.

Spurs are reportedly in the market to sign a defender, with Serge Aurier’s future at the club being thrown into doubt, after storming out of the stadium at half-time, after being substituted by Jose Mourinho in their match against Liverpool.

Do you want Spurs to sign Max Aarons?

YES!

YES!

NO!

NO!

Aarons is reportedly the player that Mourinho’s side are looking to sign in the summer, and it is thought that the Canaries value their home-grown right-back at around £20m, as per the Sunday Mirror (24/01, page 71).

The 21-year-old has made 30 appearances in total for the Championship front-runners this season, and he’ll be hoping that his side can turn around their poor run of form, which has seen the promotion-chasing teams around them close the gap on Daniel Farke’s men.

Aarons has emerged as a potential gem for the Norfolk outfit having started all 28 of their league outings, playing more minutes than any other player despite only being 21, as per WhoScored.

“Aurier out and Aarons in is how a proper club would operate.”

“Surely we can sell Aurier for 20-25 million minimum. He’s improved, and since he’s not homegrown Aarons can replace him for the future and hopefully develop well.”

“Not good enough. Matty Cash is the best right back in PL at the moment. Don’t go for second best.”

“He would certainly be my choice as replacement for Aurier.
Home Grown
Young&Athletic
PL experience
High potential
Bayern were interested for good reason.
Get it done Levy and no messing about, we can shift Aurier afterwards!”

Whether it’s to replace Aurier or even Matt Doherty, it certainly seems like this emerging transfer report has divided opinion in north London.
