Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting to some comments made by Ryan Sessegnon about his future at the club.
The 20-year-old signed for the club back in the summer of 2019 but struggled to break into the team through a combination of injury and just not being selected, not helped by having to go through two head coaches in Mauricio Pochettino and Jose Mourinho.
He’s spent this season on loan at German side TSG Hoffenheim where he managed to get a few more minutes under his belt before picking up a slight injury.
And speaking to The Evening Standard, Sessegnon spoke about how he’s aiming to be back and ready to fight for his place in the Spurs team next season, which fans on social media were delighted to hear and were already starting to put him into the team:
“Tbh we need another attacking LB, we’ve seriously suffered from losing Reguilon. Hopefully Sess can continue to play well on loan and come back ready to make an impact.”
Should Ryan Sessegnon be a first-team regular for Spurs next season?
No, he's not good enough
Yes, he's a class player
Having had such a bright future ahead of him when he was coming through the ranks at Fulham, things have certainly been a little bit tough in the past few seasons. Hopefully he’s still got all that potential left in him for Spurs to take advantage of.
