Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest comments made by Lilywhites attacker Heung-min Son.

This comes after Spurs news Twitter account @HotspurRelated shared a post on their page relaying comments made by Son originally to BT Sport (via Daily Mail) after the north London club’s recent 2-0 win over West Bromwich Albion in which he and Harry Kane scored to secure the win.

A nice easy one to start off with, who is Tottenham's record signing?

Son said that Kane is “so, so important” for the team and that he is “one of the best strikers in the world.”

The 28-year-old also added that Spurs “missed him a lot” while the Englishman was out with an ankle injury.

This post then gathered a lot of replies from Lilywhites fans who were quick to share their thoughts on these latest comments from Son.

So, what did these Tottenham fans have to say in response to Son’s comments on Kane?

“Same Sonny. I missed him too.”

@MoonlightStarOo

“Shows how much we need a Plan B.”

@redsectorB

“This is worrying,if Harry gets injured and is out for several months or even an entire season we are in big trouble”

@____78___

“Whilst cute, this is a worrying sign of mental over-reliance. Especially in the dressing room”

@EashN17

“Kane missing 2 games has papered over the cracks hasn’t it. We’ve been awful for weeks, nothing to do with him being out I’m afraid but at least we can all feel better about it now eh?”

@Deano4x8

so sign the contract sonny”

@Hoshi_CS

Looking at the replies to this post, it appears that the majority of these Spurs fans seem to think that Son’s comments highlight just how much they rely on Kane to help them win games.

Given how Spurs lost both of their recent league games in which Kane was out with the ankle injury, this shows that he is undoubtedly an important figure for this Spurs side and that they have missed him when he doesn’t play.

Are Spurs too reliant on Harry Kane?

Yes

No

No

In our view, Spurs will have to learn how to win games without Kane in the future so they don’t become over-reliant on him.
