Fans of Newcastle United have been reacting to a post on Twitter, in which the club confirmed that left-back Achraf Lazaar has left the club.
Joining Newcastle from Palermo in what was a £2.57 million deal back in 2016, Lazaar went on to make just 10 appearances for the Magpies, spending most of his time away from the club on a number of loan deals.
However, four and a half years after joining Newcastle, the club announced on Thursday that the £315k-rated 29-year-old would be leaving after ‘mutually agreeing to end his contract’.

Given his the drawn-out nature of his lack of effect at the club, it is clear to see why fans are so happy despite Lazaar being an extremely peripheral figure on Tyneside over the last few years.
