Some Newcastle United fans have been reacting to some rather interesting claims being made by Lee Ryder.
According to his recent article in The Chronicle, there was something of a ‘heated exchange’ during the half-time break of their recent game against Chelsea, led by defender and club captain Jamaal Lascelles. The report claims that Lascelles, who is no stranger to voicing his opinions to his teammates, took issue with the players for their supposed lack of effort during the game, demanding more from them.
He’s quoted as saying: “In the dressing room at half time things were said. I think we come out second half a better team. It was a much better performance in the last 45 minutes.”
And Newcastle fans were in love with this news, as they took pride in their captain trying to make something happen, believing it showed real leadership qualities:
“The old Lascelles. I like it.”
Is Jamaal Lascelles good enough to play for Newcastle?
Yes
No
Given their form over the past few months, it was only right that someone stood up and tried to make something happen.
