fans on Twitter have been calling for goalkeeper Martin Dubravka to start ahead of Karl Darlow in their upcoming Premier League match against Manchester United.

This comes after The Chronicle shared a post on their official Twitter page asking their followers if they think the Slovakian should start the game against the Manchester club when the two teams face each other on Sunday at Old Trafford.

Starting with an easy one, how much did Joelinton cost when he swapped Hoffenheim for Tyneside?

This post then gathered a lot of replies from Toon fans who were quick to share their thoughts on who should be the man to start in goal for Steve Bruce&8217;s side.

So, what did these Newcastle fans have to say in response to this post about Dubravka?

Without doubt. We’re in a battle not sat comfortably in mid table, we need our best players out there #NUFC

“yes but bruce is too soft to make a big call like that”

“Darlow has done great but time to freshen it up, yes put MD in”

“Yes 100%”

The only answer to this question is yes. I’m sorry Karl you’ve had a top season mate but Dubs is head and shoulders the better keeper! There’s a reason why CL teams have always been interested in him. #DubravkaNo1 #NUFC”

Of course they should. You should always play your best players, and Dubravka is our best keeper #NUFC

#NUFC Yyyyyeeeeeeeessssssss”

“For the love of god yes!!! He has better skills and Waaaay better communication skills with the back line.”

“Dubravkas distribution is 10x better than Darlow and he offers more security as the defenders know they can trust him”

Looking at the replies to this post, it seems apparent that these Newcastle fans think Dubravka, who is currently valued at £6.75 million and earns a reported £38k-per-week at St James’ Park, should be the man to start in goal for the team against United this weekend ahead of Darlow.

Who would you start against Man United?

Martin Dubravka

how Newcastle have conceded 40 league goals so far in this campaign with Darlow playing in all of their league games so far, perhaps giving Dubravka a start against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, in our view, could be the way forward for Newcastle.
