Liverpool podcaster Liam Grimshaw has been sharing his thoughts on Leeds United winger Raphinha and the possibility of the Brazilian making a transfer move to the Merseyside club.

This comes after Grimshaw recently hosted the latest episode of the LFC Transfer Room Podcast where he spoke about a number of topics concerning the Reds.

First up in this Mo Salah quiz, what is his current squad number for Liverpool?

On the subject of Raphinha, who has been recently linked with a move to Anfield, Grimshaw had this to say about him. (13.05)

He said: “I mean he’s only 24 as well, so, for me, that’s a perfect age. He’s got Premier League experience to come in, he’s played under [Marcelo] Bielsa who has that same attacking philosophy.

“He’s relentless, he’s nonstop, he’s got great stamina. He is a perfectly moulded Liverpool player all set and ready to go in the Premier League for Liverpool.”

Leeds signed the winger back in October from French side Stade Rennais for a fee of £16.72 million. Since arriving at Elland Road, the 24-year-old, who is currently valued at £16.2 million, has made 21 appearances for the Yorkshire club in which he has managed to score five goals and provide five assists along the way (per Transfermarkt).

TIF Thoughts on Liam Grimshaw’s comments on Raphinha and a potential move to Liverpool…

Given how well the winger has performed for Leeds during his debut season with them so far, earning himself a solid season rating of 7.16/10, making him their joint-highest rated player alongside Patrick Bamford, as well as his goals and assists record, it’s understandable why Liverpool have been reportedly interested in signing him.

In our view, if Raphinha can continue impressing for Leeds throughout the remainder of the season, there will be plenty of clubs vying for his signature when the summer transfer window rolls up, so Liverpool could have some competition for the winger if they try to sign him.
