These Leeds United fans have been reacting to claims that one of their summer signings could be about to depart Elland Road already.
According to a claim from Italian journalist Gianluigi Longari on Twitter, a number of sides have taken an interest in Brazilian winger Raphinha including Premier League heavyweights Liverpool and Manchester United.
And so they should, having signed for Marcelo Bielsa’s men last summer for a reported £17m plus add-ons, the 24-year-old has had a very impressive debut season in the Premier League, scoring 5 goals and chipping in with 5 assists, proving to be worth every penny that they initially paid out for him as Leeds continue to solidify their place in the top flight.
However, Leeds fans when they heard this claim laughed off suggestions that he would consider leaving, at least not without the other club paying through the nose to get him:
“If, and that’s a big IF Raphinha left Leeds it has to be for a team like Barca or Madrid, why do other English clubs feel like they’d be an automatic choice? “Oh I’ll go play football with my mate”. He’s not a 15-year-old kid.”
