Fans of Leeds United have been reacting to a post on Twitter, in which Graham Smyth relayed a report regarding the current situation of former Leeds centre-forward, Jean-Kevin Augustin.

According to a recent report by Ouest France, Augustin will spend the rest of the season with FC Nantes’ reserve team, having played just 33 minutes of Ligue 1 football over three appearances since joining the club on a free transfer last October.

Nice easy one to start off with, what number does Phillips wear for Leeds United?

Last season, the £3.2 million-rated 23-year-old spent six months on loan with Marcelo Bielsa’s side, during which time the France U21 international managed just 48 minutes of Championship football over three appearances for the Whites, before being controversially returned to RB Leipzig.

And, after Smyth relayed the report on Twitter, fans of Leeds flocked to have their say on the matter, with many appearing baffled as to why their club were ever interested in the striker.

Will Augustin be a success in the future?

So, what exactly did these Leeds United fans have to say in reaction to the report regarding Jean-Kevin Augustin?

“Seems we took the right decision.”

@holmes_mick

“Clearly another dud. To think that most of our fans (including me) wanted him to start ahead of Bamford not so long ago.”

@OliWhiteMOT93

“Lucky escape.”

@dommer14

“£18m? They were having a laugh. Something wrong there.”

@CraigLUFC77

“What did Marcelo see in him?”

@Gary_leeds80

“Wow.”

@ronaallleeds

“Appears to me he’s just stealing a wage.”

@joord195

“Absolute waste of talent. Something seriously wrong with his attitude! The next Ouasim Buoy.”

@Ceinoo93

“Oh dear oh dear.”

@jimmy_L_UFC

All in all, it would appear that these Leeds fans are delighted their club did not go on to make Augustin’s loan deal at the club a permanent move, and, considering his lack of appearances for Nantes, it is not difficult to see why.
