Leeds United fans have demanded that head coach Marcelo Bielsa starts to play 35-year-old Pablo Hernandez more this season.

Hernandez has been pretty prominent for the vast majority of the time that Bielsa has been at the club, and even delivered one of the more iconic goals in recent Leeds United memory when he scored a late winner against Swansea City in the promotion campaign. But he’s found minutes hard to come by this time around, playing just 274 of them in the top flight.

Heading into the final 18 months of his contract in which he earns £19,000 per week according to Spotrac, Joe Donnohue of Leeds Live penned an article in which he described the predicament the club find themselves in when it comes to handling his future. And speaking on the Leeds Live Facebook page, there were a number of fans who felt that if the club are setting themselves up to sell him this summer, then they would like to see him play more often so that he got ‘the send-off’ that he deserves:

Should Pablo Hernandez be getting more first-team minutes for Leeds?

No, he's not good enough

Yes, he's a class player

There is still plenty of time left in the season for him to be given his chance, you just hope that there are fans in the ground by the time his farewell, if it happens this season, comes around.
