A lot of Leeds United fans have flocked to a post from Phil Hay showing the Elland Road pitch ahead of the Whites’ clash with Southampton in the Premier League.

Nice easy one to start off with, what number does Phillips wear for Leeds United?

Leeds have just recently bought a pitch from Tottenham Hotspur to see them through until the end of the season, and many Whites fans were clearly still concerned by what it looks like.

I hate to bring it up Philip. But why does the pitch still look ropey?”

@BenPhillips_5

Pitch deteriorating already”

@LiamRotherforth

Be interesting to see how the pitch plays tonight given we’ve had a few dry days going into a game for the 1st time since its been relaid”

@tonyrhodes1964

Do you think the pitch looks bad?

Yes, I am not happy with it

Yes, I am not happy with it

No, there is nothing wrong

No, there is nothing wrong

In his post, it appears as if the pitch is a bit barren in spots, but that could also be down to the photograph’s quality.

Either way, Leeds will have to hope that this new pitch improves their fortunes at home as Leeds have lost five of their home league games so far.

This post from Hay continued to draw in these Whites fans who continued to have their say.

A pitch The Belfast Giants would be proud of”

@greggleeds

How’s the new pitch looking has it grown in yet”

@Hell3350

Need to not lose tonight, don’t want West Brom at home to be a relegation decider. 6 more points should do it”

@billygun1966

It will be interesting to see how the pitch plays in tonight’s game as the Whites look to avoid a third league defeat in a row and the Saints look to end their run of no wins in seven league games.
