This comes after Watts recently uploaded a video onto his YouTube channel where he spoke about the latest news topics concerning the north London club.

Nice easy one to start off with, who currently sits top of the table?

On the subject of Partey and the injury he picked up during Arsenal’s recent Premier League defeat against Aston Villa, Watts had this to say on the matter. (6.17)

He said: “The injury is a hamstring injury, we all know that you’re not coming back fairly quickly from a hamstring injury. It kind of depends [on] what grade hamstring it is. Doesn’t sound like it’s a [bad] one so you’re not looking at maybe four to six weeks, hopefully, sort of two to three weeks, and he might be available again, but you just don’t want to rush with Thomas because every time he starts getting fit again, he keeps breaking down.

“It’s a really frustrating thing for Arsenal, he’s their big summer signing and he’s barely played this season because of injury, he keeps coming back and then breaking down and they need to get him right because the season’s going to end up [ending] and he’s barely played any football, which is a real shame.”

As Watts, mentioned in his video, Arsenal signed Partey back in the previous summer transfer window from Atletico Madrid for a fee of £45 million.

Since arriving at the Emirates, the 27-year-old has only made 11 Premier League appearances for Mikel Arteta’s side after having previously been out of action with a hip injury.

TIF Thoughts on Charles Watts’ comments on Partey’s latest injury…

It’s a shame that Partey has picked up this latest injury after missing a chunk of Arsenal’s league games earlier in the season with another injury.

Given how Partey has the joint highest tackle per game percentage with 1.7% alongside Pablo Mari, his absence could have a big impact on Arsenal defensive strength moving forward.

Moving forward, Arsenal will have to hope Partey can get over this latest injury as soon as possible so he can get back onto the pitch with the rest of his teammates.
