Leeds United fans have been offering their views on Tyler Roberts and his usefulness during their loss at home to Everton.
Leeds United had come into the game off the back of two straight victories in the league, but as has been the case at times this season, you just don’t know what result is going to come next with this Marcelo Bielsa side. Though having established themselves as a decent side in the top flight following promotion, the odd blip or two perhaps can be forgiven.
What can’t be forgiven though, at least in the eyes of the supporters at home, was the decision to bring on Roberts when they were in the process of chasing the game past the hour mark. Having been subject to ‘several’ bids from Derby County during the January transfer window, you’d imagine that these fans would have rather he departed based on how little faith they had in him to change the game against Everton:
“Tyler Roberts, what a waste of a substitute. Might as well stick Casilla up front or put the Physio on.”
Has Tyler Roberts been underperfroming?
Yes
No
Still, there’s plenty of time for the 22-year-old Welshman, valued at £3.24m on Transfermarkt, to prove them right. Although, having never broken double digits in his career, you might be tempted to lean on the views of these fans.
