Fans of Leeds United have taken to Twitter to criticise the performance of Leeds’ attacking midfielder, Tyler Roberts, in the Whites’ clash with Aston Villa.

Prior to Saturday’s Premier League meeting with Villa, Roberts had started just four Premier League games for United this season, over which the 22-year-old had provided his teammates with two assists, as well as averaging a rather disappointing WhoScored match rating of 6.30 – ranking him as the club’s sixth-worst performer in the top flight.

Nice easy one to start off with, what number does Phillips wear for Leeds United?

And, after Marcelo Bielsa awarded the £3.24 million-rated Wales international his fifth start of the campaign against Dean Smith’s side on Saturday, fans of Leeds appeared far from happy with the display of the £7.5k per week attacking midfielder, with many taking to Twitter to criticise Roberts’ performance.

So, what exactly did these Leeds United fans have to say in reaction to Tyler Roberts’ performance against Aston Villa?

“Think Roberts has blown his chance today.”

@Longthorne90

“Not one opportunity for Bamford and one of our most creative players on the bench. Roberts is rubbish.”

@Irish_Leeds

“Roberts poor. Heads gone, get him off now MB.”

@itsjordanbarrow

“Don’t think I’ve hated a Leeds player more than Roberts in my life.”

@FogLUFC

“Need to get Roberts off here, absolute liability. Been mouthing at the ref and losing it a bit.”

@gjsportsblog

“Bielsa needs to get Roberts off, he’s been shocking today.”

@KieranClarke24

“Roberts & Costa absolutely hopeless. Championship bound.”

@IateabeeDj

“Roberts and Costa are mid-table Championship level at best.”

@chuckielufc

“Take it back… Roberts looks terrible on the ball.”

@TomLilley20s

“Please can we sell Roberts ASAP.”

@GKWlufc

All in all, it would appear as if these Leeds fans were far from happy with the performance of Roberts, and, considering the 22-year-old lost possession of the ball 15 times and earned a SofaScore match rating of 6.3 over his 71 minutes on the pitch, it is not difficult to see why.
