Fans of Leeds United have taken to Twitter to criticise the performance of Leeds’ centre-back, Liam Cooper, in the Whites’ Premier League clash with Aston Villa on Saturday.
Prior to the Villa game, Cooper had impressed over his 19 Premier League fixtures for Marcelo Bielsa’s side, making an average of 2.8 tackles, 2.3 interceptions and three clearances per game, culminating in an average WhoScored match rating of 7.09 – ranking him as the club’s third-best performer in the top flight.
However, after Anwar El Ghazi gave Dean Smith’s side an early lead against the Whites on Saturday, fans of Leeds flocked to Twitter to criticise the £6.3 million-rated 29-year-old for his part in Villa’s goal, as well as the Scotland international’s performance during the fixture in general.
