In the report by Football Insider, former Leeds United striker, Noel Whelan, tipped Hernandez to depart Elland Road this summer after the 35-year-old picked up another injury, with Whelan stating his belief that the Whites are ‘coming to the end of the Pablo era’.

He continued: “He is not the go-to man anymore. When you look at the bench, and the players that come on before him, it tells a big story. I think Pablo will move on in the summer. I definitely think he will go.”

Indeed, the £1.08 million-rated Spaniard has started just two Premier League games under Marcelo Bielsa so far this season, with another eight appearances coming from the bench.

And, after Leeds Insider relayed this report on Facebook, fans of the flocked to have their say on the matter, with some appearing in agreement with Whelan’s prediction, while others called for Hernandez to stay.
