Leeds United fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest injury update concerning Whites midfielder Kalvin Phillips.

This comes after Leeds journalist Adam Pope shared a post on his Twitter page relaying comments made by Whites manager Marcelo Bielsa after seeing his side lose 4-2 against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

Nice easy one to start off with, what number does Phillips wear for Leeds United?

In regards to Phillips, who missed the game against Mikel Arteta’s side after picking up an injury in Leeds’ win over Crystal Palace last week, Pope said that Bielsa is not sure when the midfielder will return to action.

This post then gathered a lot of replies from Leeds fans, who were quick to share their thoughts on this update.

So, what did these Leeds fans have to say in response to this news concerning Phillips’ injury?

“A big worry. We just don’t win games without him”

@kevingaff

“Thats our season done then.”

@Poz89

“Not good”

@Reggie48Raymond

“Now that is worrying”

@SWard1975

“Complete joke we’re so poor without him!”

@maycockjake1

“Hopefully by Friday”

@PaulWN1

Looking at the replies to this post, it’s clear to see that these Leeds fans aren’t happy to hear that Phillips could be out injured for a while.

Given how Leeds have only won one and lost four out of the five Premier League games that Phillips has missed so far this season, it’s understandable why they feel he would be a big miss for the team and are now worried for their upcoming fixtures.

Also, with just Liam Cooper racking up better defensive statistics than Phillips this season – as the only player to better the midfielder in terms of tackles, interceptions and clearances per game – this shows why he could prove to be a big miss for the Yorkshire club moving forward.

Do you think Phillips is Leeds' most important player?

In our view, if Phillips is out of action for a long period of time, Bielsa will need to figure out the best way to set up his team to be as defensively strong as possible to make up for the 25-year-old’s absence.
