Many Leeds United fans have been discussing a news update regarding Boubakary Soumare that recently emerged on social media.
Football Insider have recently reported about Soumare, saying that the Whites are ready to join the race for the Lille midfielder and Marcelo Bielsa’s men are currently looking to sign a top central midfielder, who can provide cover for Kalvin Phillips, Mateusz Klich and the others.
Leeds now see the midfielder as a potential target, despite interest from Premier League rivals Leicester. Soumare’s current deal at Lille runs out in the summer of 2022 and because of the financial troubles in French football, he could be available for a cheap fee.

Last year, Soumare was linked with a move to Manchester United and even Chelsea and it was stated that he was going to decide between signing for one of those two clubs. In the January of 2020, the Frenchman had rejected a chance to move to Newcastle, who had a bid accepted for him.
