Celtic fans have been reacting to news that they look set to miss out on Queens Park Rangers winger Bright Osayi-Samuel.

The 23-year-old was reportedly on the radar for Neil Lennon’s men back in the summer, and given his contract situation is now available to sign for the Hoops in a pre-contractual agreement given he has 6 months left on his deal at Loftus Road.

However, according to a report in Turkish outlet Bursa Hakimiyet, it appears as though Fenerbache have won the race for his services and he will be making the move to the ?ükrü Saraco?lu Stadium rather than Celtic Park.

And Celtic fans were not too pleased to find out that they appear to have been thwarted in their efforts, with some using it as an indictment of just where the club are right now:

“Our handling of transfers is a complete shambles & our scouting system is a mess. We need to be start identifying our target and get it done, instead of weeks of “linked” “discussions” “bid rejected” If we want a player, pay the cash, it’s no a car boot sale!”

“Far too slow to act and going to end up missing a lot more potential targets”

“Have to get Lawwell out first”
“We have no scouting system it consists of Gary Penrice sitting in his house looking at YouTube clips and player recommendations from agents that’s it. The whole club is a shambles from top to bottom and Lawwell and Desmond are to blame for it all.”
“Good lad….. if you signed for us we would have destroyed your career !”
“Lennon out now”

Would Osayi-Samuel be a good signing for Celtic?

YES

YES

NO

NO

With there being such an incredible gap between them and rivals Rangers at the top of the division, Lennon would have needed all the fire power he could get in order to mount a title challenge next season, but it would appear as though he’ll have to look elsewhere for it.
