A Premier League club are said to be interested in a loan deal to sign Celtic midfielder Olivier Ntcham according to Sky Sports.
The Frenchman has made 147 appearances in all competitions for the Bhoys this season, who are currently struggling in the Scottish Premiership.
Neil Lennon’s side are currently sat second in the table, but are 23 points adrift of league-leaders Rangers after their opening 24 matches this term.
Ntcham has been with Celtic since 2017, after arriving from Premier League side Manchester City, having failed to make a single senior appearance for them.
It is claimed by Sky Sports’ Anthony Joseph (as per Keith Downie) that Celtic are keen on adding a buy clause into any potential loan agreement before the conclusion of the January transfer window.
Newcastle are currently sat 16th in the Premier League table, and moved eight points clear of the relegation zone recently, with a hard-fought 2-0 win over Everton at Goodison Park.
Plenty of Celtic supporters took to social media to react to the news of Newcastle’s reported interest in signing Ntcham late into the January transfer window.
