How well do you remember Rangers' 2020/21 season so far? We'll start you off with an easy one... Rangers beat Aberdeen 1-0 in the opening gameweek of the Premiership, but which player scored the only goal of the game?

One of the teams that he spent a little bit of time on was Rangers, and while he was speaking about the Gers, he praised Ross Wilson’s arrival as Sporting Director.

He arrived at Ibrox in October 2019 and since he was brought in the Gers have signed the likes of Ianis Hagi and Leon Balogun.

Certainly, Gerrard’s former teammate Adam was full of praise for Wilson.

He said: “Ross coming in now made a big difference. I like him. He’s got an eye for a player; knows how to run a football club.

“He started at Falkirk with no money, but then built his way up into Southampton, who had a lot of money.

“Now he’s back at Rangers [which] is a big job for him. So he’s done a terrific job.”

Do you think Wilson deserves a lot of credit for Rangers' success?

Yes, he has been crucial

No, he hasn't done that much

TIF Thoughts on Wilson’s appointment…

Since Wilson has arrived at Ibrox the Gers have made some brilliant signings on cheap deals as well, for example, Balogun arrived in Glasgow on a free transfer, and Kemar Roofe was signed for just £4.5m and both have performed well in the league in the time they have been at Rangers.

Wilson is only 36 but already has lots of experience with Southampton, Falkirk, and Huddersfield Town and it is clear that his experience is helping him in this role

So, we agree with Adam that Wilson has done a brilliant job for Rangers and we will be intrigued to see who he brings to Ibrox next.
