Many Celtic fans are up in arms over the latest news coming out of the club and potential plans to change things.

Celtic fans were reportedly promised a review on things three weeks into the new year, so right about now, however that review appears not to be forthcoming. With things going wrong both on the pitch as well as off it, there certainly would be plenty to talk about at any such review at Parkhead.

Taking to Twitter, Supporters Liaison Officer John Paul Taylor tried to explain the situation to the fans, saying that the review will be taking place, but not at the time they were initially promised.

This news has not gone down well with the supporters on Twitter, who reacted angrily with the way they have been treated, with some suggesting there might be some ulterior motive behind it in order to keep Neil Lennon in a job despite the mounting pressure:

“There should be no more review, the manager should be chased. It’s getting beyond a joke.”

“Do Lawwell and Desmond actually care about the fans?”
“So they are waiting on the transfer window closing so they don’t have to give any new manager that comes in money to spend”
“‘The next week or so’. Sums this monstrosity of a board up. They had no intention of a review. Itnwaa words to buy Lennon time as he had a few easy fixtures coming up. Now he has spectacularly messed those up, they have to fumble around to spout some further nonsense.disgusted”
“We have to wait on the transfer window closing or we risk having to spend money for a new managers transfers. We spent what we are spending on 10 and no more. Lenny will be sacked very soon and caretaker or new manager in and told to prepare for sweeping changes in summer.”
“Next week. Wait for transfer window to close then we will make a decision. New manager needs to come in now get some players in this window. Sleeping at the wheel again”

Do you think Lennon and the Celtic board are to blame for the club's poor season?

Give credit to Taylor for being willing to stick his neck above the parapet in the situation. Given the anger in recent months, it takes a brave person to be ready to engage on social media.
