Kevin Graham has been speaking on the latest edition of the A Celtic State of Mind podcast about all things relating to Celtic.

Which club did Brown join Celtic from?

One of the topics that he spent some time on was David Moyes potentially replacing Neil Lennon, amid a discussion about potential candidates for the Celtic job should the club decide to sack their current manager, with plenty of chatter about the Northern Irishman’s future at the helm given their disastrous campaign thus far.

Moyes has been linked with taking over at Celtic Park in the past, but at the moment, he is doing well with West Ham United and has them comfortably clear of the relegation zone and within touching distance of the top five.

Graham, though, doesn’t appear to be the biggest fan of Moyes and would not like to see him as Celtic boss.

He said: “David Moyes has made it clear that he sees himself as a top-five manager in England.

“He’s at West Ham; West Ham are doing not too bad at this precise moment in time.

“But he’s got a style of football that is absolutely rotten. I don’t think us, as a Celtic support, would accept that.

“He doesn’t seem to change his style of play wherever he goes, either. When you have to be a Celtic manager, you’ve got to adapt, you’ve got to be a chameleon – you’ve got to adapt to your surroundings.

“David Moyes teams are all set up to play on the counter-attack, and that’s where he’s had his major success.”

Would you take Moyes at Celtic?

TIF Thoughts on Graham’s view of Moyes…

It seems pretty clear that Graham is not a huge fan of Moyes’ style of play and clearly feels that he wouldn’t exactly welcome Moyes if he did come in and Celtic played poor football.

However, Moyes has had a lot of success in the past with Everton, regularly achieving impressive league finishes, and he has had a long top-flight managerial career, so he must be doing something right.

We think that even if Graham did want Moyes, he probably wouldn’t want to move to Celtic at this moment in time, with West Ham in a solid position in the Premier League – and he seems to be building something good at the London Stadium.

So, Graham is clearly not a huge fan of Moyes, and luckily for him, if things keep going how they are at West Ham, then we can’t see why Moyes would take the Celtic job in any case.
