Supporters of Celtic have slated the Hoops’ board after former striker Chris Sutton tweeted his weekly column for the Daily Record.

In his latest piece for the news outlet, the footballer-turned-pundit discussed several issues which are currently surrounding the Bhoys (per Daily Record).

One of the first issues which Sutton addressed was the recent video that was shared on Celtic’s website of the club’s chief executive Peter Lawwell (per Celtic).

Sutton claimed that Lawwell ‘can’t do right for wrong at the moment‘ but went on to state that some of the ‘Lawwell bashing has been over the top‘.

The former striker also addressed the recent trip to Dubai and stated that ‘Celtic have only damaged themselves‘ before branding the season an ‘unmitigated disaster‘.

After the post was shared on Twitter by Sutton, it had lots of fans fuming with the Hoops’ board.

Which club did Brown join Celtic from?

So, what did these Celtic fans have to say following Chris Sutton’s tweet?

“Any decent risk assessment would have put the trip at too high a risk. It would even have mitigating actions such as keeping certain players apart, at lunch, plane, buses etc. Was there a risk assessment done? If not Peter should walk for that alone!”

The trip to Dubai was even criticised by Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, who urged the Scottish Football Association to investigate the trip (per Daily Record).

However, the SFA decided not the intervene as they believed they had no case to answer due to the trip being sanctioned by the government.

“Allowing Neil Lennon and his management team to stay on whilst his quality players at his disposal have regressed under his guidance and coaching. Tactically inept and wasteful he has tarnished his reputation with the fans. The board have clearly lost focus.”

As can be seen in these responses from Hoops fans, many of them were clearly frustrated with the Bhoys’ board after Sutton relayed his weekly column.
