Supporters of Celtic have recently reacted to some comments on Filip Benkovic that were made by Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers.

During the 2018/19 season, the Croatian centre-back was on loan at Parkhead from the Foxes (per Transfermarkt).

Since October last year, the defender had been on loan with Championship club Cardiff City, however, he returned to the King Power Stadium on Wednesday.

Speaking on the player’s future, his manager opened the door for a possible return to Scotland (via Glasgow Times).

Rodgers said: “It’s certainly a possibility. It’s a huge club and he did very well there. We haven’t had any contact but he’s back now and we will see what happens. Celtic would be a great move for him.”

These comments were relayed on Twitter by @celticbible and they had lots of fans talking.
