On Friday afternoon, the Bhoys shared a post on Twitter which revealed that the 17-year-old Norwegian had joined Premiership side Ross County on loan (per Celtic)

The deal will see the young centre-back stay with the Staggies until the end of the season.

Currently, the Norwegian central defender has until the summer of 2022 on his existing deal with the Hoops (as per Transfermarkt).

Hjelde has been situated in Scotland since the Hoops signed the 17-year-old defender from Norwegian club Rosenborg BK during the summer of 2019.

Since moving to Celtic Park, the defender has not made a single appearance for the Bhoys’ first-team squad.
