Many Celtic fans have been discussing an update about Marian Shved that recently emerged on social media.
KV Mechelen manager Wouter Vrancken has recently talked about Celtic loanee Shved, saying that he hopes the winger can join them on a permanent basis soon. He said that when Shved initially came in, he isolated himself, but he’s now a popular character in the dressing room. Shved is valued at £585k.
Should Celtic recall Shved?
He said that if he keeps approaching things the way he is at the moment, it would be great if Mechelen can keep him at the club.
This update was relayed on Facebook by Read Celtic. Many Hoops fans made their views clear about the Ukrainian.
What did Celtic fans make of this update about Shved?
While Shved wasn’t in the Mechelen squad for multiple games in the first half of the league season, he has stepped up and is now a regular part of their squad. He recently impressed on the right wing, scoring twice and getting one assist. His first goal for the club came last month (as per Transfermarkt).
The winger had joined Celtic from Karpaty Lviv in January 2019 but he was loaned out to his former club till the summer of 2019. He was loaned out to Mechelen in the summer (as per Transfermarkt).
Clearly, a lot of Celtic fans want Shved to return to Parkhead and they want him to get more first-team football.
Last season for the Bhoys, the 23-year-old could make only three appearances and scored one goal. As things stand though, Celtic don’t have a single out-and-out option for the right wing and while James Forrest could’ve done that, he is still out injured.
So Shved would add another option in that position and it is understandable why Celtic fans want him to return.
