“Excellent. A guy that has held Celtic back for years through his terrible decision making and transfer policy. He has cost Celtic millions in champions league money and millions in season ticket revenue next season. Another board member that only looked after his own wallet.”

“Ran Celtic fantastically as a business & guided us through unprecedented domestic success & for that we should all be grateful however he lost his touch & lack of ambition not good enough. Unfortunately his final decisions cost us dearly. Thanks for everything but time is right.”

“Thank you for all you have done leading our great club. You were both fiscally prudent and speculative over your time at the helm. You also bear some responsibility for this season’s debacle and should have ceded power after Brendan called you out over ambition. Overall thankyou.”

This comes some weeks after protests were held outside Celtic Park, demanding the exits of Lawwell, Neil Lennon and even majority shareholder Dermot Desmond. The fans demanded a change of the board (as per Glasgow Live).
