Football.london’s Tottenham Hotspur correspondent Alasdair Gold spent some time discussing all of the latest Spurs transfer news during the most recent video that has been posted to his YouTube channel.

On that topic, the journalist revealed that those inside the club are not expecting signings to be made this month, explaining that the only transfer activity people at Spurs expect, at present, is loan departures.

How well can you remember Spurs' season so far? 1. Who is Spurs' top scorer in all competitions so far this season?

Here is what Gold had to say about the behind-scenes transfer expectation at Tottenham in full: “I think it’s going to be quite quiet. This is where people get very angry with me, but everything I’m hearing is that inside the club, they’re expecting just, really, outgoing loans. [They’re] not really expecting incomings.”

TIF Thoughts on what Gold said about the behind-the-scenes transfer expectation at Tottenham Hotspur…

This claim comes after Spurs have been enduring a poor run of form in the Premier League.

The north London club have won just one of their last six games in England’s top-flight, with their most recent Premier League game seeing them take just a point from a clash with relegation-battling Fulham at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

As a result, perhaps a lack of January additions to the squad will cause concern amongst some members of the Tottenham faithful.

Do you think Spurs will sign anyone this month?

YES

NO

NO

However, this revelation may not come as a massive surprise, given that Lilywhites manager Jose Mourinho did confirm at the beginning of the month that he would not be asking the club for any January transfer investment.

Judging by what Gold has revealed about the behind-the-scenes transfer expectation at Tottenham, it doesn’t seem like that has changed in the last two weeks, and so, with just another two weeks remaining in the transfer window, perhaps January additions are off the table at the north London club.
