Tottenham Hotspur: Many fans left unconvinced by news Nicolo Barella could be on his way

Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting to the news that they are in the hunt for Internazionale midfielder Nicolò Barella.

According to a report from Italian outlet Calcio Mercato (via TeamTALK), Spurs are joined by fellow Premier League side Liverpool in the hunt for the midfielder, who is currently valued at £49.5m on Transfermarkt. He isn’t the first Inter midfielder that Jose Mourinho’s men are reportedly interested in this window, with Christian Eriksen’s name also being mentioned about a move to north London.

Barella would certainly be the better of the two options for Spurs to chase based on their levels of production this season, with the Italian contributing two goals and eight assists and Eriksen contributing in neither department.

Which is perhaps why Tottenham fans didn’t think it was all that likely the Italian side would agree to let him move on during this transfer window, given how important he is looking to the side in their bid for a Scudetto:
